Paula McLemore has over thirty years environmental, health and safety experience in government, industry and consulting. She began her career as Director of Air Pollution Control for the City of Granite City, Illinois. In 1981, she moved to Texas where she worked in the chemical, pharmaceutical, oil and gas, and environmental services industries for Ethyl, Albemarle, DX Services, PSC, ERM, Parker Drilling and Veolia.
Paula has been active in the American Chemistry Council, Synthetic Organic Chemical Manufacturer’s Association, Chlorine Institute, Greater Houston Partnership, East Harris County Manufacturers Association and Texas Chemical Council, where she served on the Board of Directors. Paula is an honorary member of the Air & Waste Management Association, serving on the Board of Directors and as International President. She chaired the Implementation Council of EPA’s Institute for Pollution Prevention and was a member of the National Advisory Committee to the North American Commission for Environmental Cooperation established under NAFTA.
Paula holds a BS degree in Resource Conservation and Ecology, and a MS degree in Geology, Hydrology and Thermal and Environmental Engineering from Southern Illinois University - Carbondale. She is a Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP) and an A&WMA Fellow.
