Lee is presently the Vice President, Environmental, Health & Safety for Oldcastle Materials Group in North America. His responsibility includes the oversight of the health and safety for approximately 22,000 employees operating in 44 states and Canada. Lee Cole has been in the safety, health and environmental field for over 39 years. He is a graduate of Mississippi State University with degrees in Business Management and Accounting. Lee serves on various safety and environmental committees for Industry trade associations (National Asphalt Paving Assoc., National Stone, Sand and Gravel Assoc., ARTBA, etc.).
He is a Certified Health and Safety Manager as recognized by the Institute for Safety and Health Management (ISHM). Lee is also a Certified Professional Auditor for Health and Safety – Board of Environmental, Health and Safety Auditor Certifications (BEAC) and a Certified Professional Auditor for Environmental Compliance – (BEAC). Additionally, Lee is a Registered Environmental Manager (REM) as recognized by the National Registry of Environmental Professionals (NREP) and a Certified Environmental Compliance Manager (CECM) through Columbia Southern University.
Lee completed the OSHA 500 Train the Trainer course for teaching construction safety and health outreach classes to employees. He has been a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers since 1977 and has been a member of the National Safety Council since 1979.
In his personal life, Lee is the father of three great sons.
