Born in 1965, Mr. Van Breda graduated in Chemical Engineering at the University of Leuven. He began his professional career at BASF in 1989. Prior to taking up his current position as Vice President Health, Safety, Environment & Energy Policy and Head of EHS Services Hub EMEA North he has assumed the following professional positions within the BASF Group: Assistant plant manager and Technology project manager Styrene (Antwerp, The Hague, Ludwigshafen), Plant manager Polystyrene (Germany, Ludwigshafen), Plant manager EB/Styrene (Antwerp), Group leader technical maintenance service & contractormanagement (Antwerp), Operations manager Caprolactam & Polyamid 6 (Antwerp). He is a board member within febeliec, the federation of Belgian industrial energy consumers and steerCo member within essenscia, the Belgian federation of chemical industry & life sciences. Marc Van Breda is married and has 2 children. Any leisure time goes to travelling and sports, more specific long distance running and football.
